A short while ago I read and reviewed a magnificent book titled, The Keepers. The Revealed is the sequel to The Keepers and let me tell you now book lovers that this sequel is one of the best I have ever read! The Connor Chronicles, written by the superb Dormaine G which consists of The Keepers, The Revealed and The Battle, is soon becoming one of my favorite fantasy series of all time and this is thanks to many reasons that I will list throughout my review.

The Revealed is book two in The Connor Chronicles and once again, it follows the star of the first book Connor, a young woman gifted with supernatural powers who in the first book, starts a quest to find others like her whilst also uncovering a dark and sinister plot that involves a key character in The Revealed… Ronin. In The Revealed, the reader will follow Connor once again on an incredible and memorable journey as she is forced to make tough decisions while preparing for the most sinister and troubling of events… war. What follows is an intriguing, captivating story that is ensured to keep readers entertained for many hours on end.

The story of The Revealed is everything I had wanted it to be and so much more. The story is one that charmed as well as excited me at the same time and this was thanks to the thrilling story and the characters I had grown to love. Being reunited with Connor again was wonderful as she is the type of protagonist I love to read; this is because she is feisty, driven and a good human being who wants to help and save as many people as she can. It is always refreshing to read a story that features a likable protagonist as it will make the reader become even more invested in the story and I most certainly was with Connor as I so wanted her to succeed!

The magnificent characterization of Connor is all thanks to the wonderful author, Dormaine G. I have to admit that I only discovered Dormaine’s work a few weeks ago and I also admit that I have been frustrated with myself for not discovering her work sooner! Dormaine is the type of author I love to read work from as her work is exciting, captivating and passionate… all qualities that make a great book in my opinion. Dormaine is also an author who strikes me as being invested in the reader’s experience and she most certainly is this because, throughout her entire sequel, she ensures that there is no room for mistakes and makes sure that her reader is in no way bored or tempting to put the book down. It is the sad truth that many sequels do not live up to the first book but The Reveled most certainly does as Dormaine manages to invigorate new life into her story and expand on an already wonderfull created world… one that I will happily get lost in anytime!

As The Revealed is a stunning sequel that will stay in my mind for a long time, I have no choice but to award this brilliant piece of memorable fiction five stars! So please, if you are a reader looking to get lost in a brilliant series then The Connor Chronicles is the one for you!

The Keepers is a YA supernatural novel, and it is incredible! It encompasses everything I love about literature and supernatural stories in particular; it has thrilling action-packed moments, unique and endearing characters as well as flawless literature. All of these things combined make The Keepers a truly sensational novel that needs to be read by everybody!

The Keepers follows the protagonist of the novel, Connor as her life dramatically changes in one moment. Connor is a young woman who has been gifted with supernatural powers but she is not the only one, as other young people have also been gifted. Connor and the five fellow gifted teenagers, embark on a journey to discover their powers as well as their heritage. Along the way, Connor will discover that she has been living a lie and slowly her life unravels around her to reveal the cold, hard truth about herself. Along the way, Connor and the fellow five will make chilling discoveries, discoveries such as inhumans inhabiting the earth and discoveries about somebody evil known only as Ronin. The Keepers is a thrilling, addictive fast-paced novel that will take its readers on a thrilling, sometimes terrifying journey of discovery and let me tell you now book lovers, it makes for an exciting read!
